Youth2bio was born in the summer of 2022. As a high school junior, I decided to join the Stanford University  Summer Quarter program to pursue my interests in Statistics and Biotechnology. I was on a long search for programs and opportunities in Biotech only to realize that the community lacked a thorough, reliable, and consolidated list of relevant programs for students my age. I found the process overwhelming and instead of waiting for someone else to create this resource, I decided to build it myself and prevent other fellow students from experiencing the same frustrating and stressful process.

I came up with the idea in the middle of my stats lecture and immediately created a draft of the website. I spent several months researching and reaching out to reliable organizations focused on offering Biotechnology and hands-on scientific research programs, Youth2bio was established to offer a user-friendly guide for local high school students in the Bay Area who are interested in the Biotech field and are looking for ideal programs that can offer a truly transformative educational experience.
